Students design a technique for an organisation within their specialist or profession which would permit it to enact the main Principles for Responsible Management (i.e. those mentioned in option (i) above) or which would boost the firm's position within the principal CSR and associated indices, e.g. B Corp; FTSE4Good;
Dow Jones Sustainability Index; Ethical Trading Initiative; Rainforest Alliance index, or any other they've selected. (*Students must definitely express which index they're making use of to enlighten their strategy).
(iii) Investigation of an instance of an incapacity of responsible
management.
Students examine a corporate scandal or dispute, looking at its factors, its social and/or environmental effect, and also the adequacy and nature of reaction to it from the broader industry or sector.
To go along with the Case Study document learners must also attach and compile a compact appendix involving evidence sources that they have obtained to substantiate and inform their evaluation. These "evidence portfolios" must contain a maximum of five artifacts (i.e. elements from articles and reports, commentaries or additional coverage) along with a brief commentary which explains and describes the need for the objects chosen as well as inter-relationships between them. The maximum length of this commentary is five hundred words (besides the two,thousand words in the primary evaluation). Items within the evidence appendix need to be linked as hyperlinks, scanned extracts from documents or standard academic references as opposed to complete texts, to allow the Case Study to be handed over electronically (see sect five.three below)
Word limit: two,thousand words for the primary text of the Case Study evaluation (in addition a maximum of five hundred words for the commentary accompanying the evidence appendix).
Learners must declare the word count in their written homework.
