Does Social Class Mediate Individual’s Participation in Environmentalism

Basically just answer those questions.
A Research Proposal will follow.
Foundations of Social Research:
RESEARCH QUESTION: Does Social Class Mediate Individual’s Participation in Environmentalism?
There is no word limit – though it would be anticipated that questions would need a paragraph, not a sentence, to be answered adequately.
Marking criteria
Marks will be awarded for each question according to how well your responses:
· Demonstrate familiarity with key course terminology
· Apply key concepts
· Critically engage with research methods principles
Question One ( ____ out of 3)
Please state your research question and explain how you will operationalise this question. You will need to define terms as well as relevant variables and measures. If there are competing definitions for what you are defining (e.g. Homelessness), explain why you have chosen the definition that you have.
Question Two ( ____ out of 3)
In relation to your research question and proposed project, please explain your research design (Quant., Qual., or Mixed-methods) as well as the methods you think will be appropriate to answer your question. It is imperative that you explain how these methods will allow you to gather data that will answer your specific question and why you are adopting the design that you are.
Question Three ( ____ out of 3)
Please provide a brief discussion outlining how your methodological paradigm will influence your approach to your proposed research.
Question Four ( ____ out of 3)
Explain how you will recruit participants and/or select cases for your study and your rationale behind this strategy. Where appropriate, you may wish to add in details of a ‘back-up’ plan for the possibility that the initial method of recruitment may be unsuccessful.
Question Five ( ____ out of 3)
Please identify and discuss the key ethical issues that you will need to address in designing this project. If you are undertaking methods which you believe do not raise ethical issues, please give a discussion of why you have assessed there to be no ethical issues (n.b. Stating that ‘there are no ethical issues in document analysis’ is both inaccurate and unsatisfactory).

Some things you may need to consider:
· Informed Consent
· Permissions from third-parties (i.e. a service you may be recruiting from)
· Physical safety
· Emotional wellbeing
· Political safety
· Confidentiality or Anonymity
· Data security
· Illicit information
· Cultural sensitivities
· Are you working with a vulnerable population?
· Beneficence / Non-maleficence
· Researching trauma
· Researcher wellbeing
