Interactive Field Report Assignment - Write My Essay

The Interactive Field Report assignment requires students to write a 5-6 page paper based on careful observations of an interactive environment, whether a children’s museum, museum of science and industry, virtual reality environment, interactive restaurant, or even an arcade. The intent of this assignment is to put you “in the field” to observe some actual interactivity in society, so video game playing at home doesn't qualify (although attending a massive LAN party would).

For this assignment, you may visit a children’s museum (e.g., Science Spectrum in Lubbock, or the Harrington Discovery Center in Amarillo), entertainment center (e.g., The Main Event in Lubbock), or even an “interactive restaurant” (e.g., Chuck-E-Cheese’s or Dave & Busters). The intent of this assignment is to put you “in the field” as an observer of interactive engagement, and then to systematically analyze the results of your observations. When deciding which interactive experience to pursue, keep in mind that what you observe needs to involve user experiences with, and reactions to, technology. By users, I mostly mean “kids at the museum with their parents,” but it may be adults, too (or college students). Kids at play are especially fascinating to watch.

Internal Proposal - Write my Essay

Write my Essay

Purpose:  To differentiate tone and persuasive strategies between the memo to upper management and the email to employees as a way to negotiate relationships in workplace communication.

Assignment: You will need to research and develop guidelines for appropriate email use in the workplace and present your guidelines and your reasons behind them to two distinct audiences.  As you do your research, please keep in mind the three majors areas for discussion:  privacy, productivity and professionalism.  This assignment will have two parts:

1)                 MEMO:  Write a memo to the appropriate audience (perhaps upper management) who needs to be convinced that email guidelines should be implemented in order to maintain a professional image even through electronic communications.  In order to be persuasive, you will need to research and document some real world examples of email problems and their consequences. The memo should also explain how the guidelines will be implemented and enforced; you do not need to list the actual guidelines here.   The memo shall be typed, single-spaced, approximately 1-1 ½ pages long, and include a “Works Cited” page; you will need to cite your research.

2)                 EMAIL: Send an email to all employees of the company to explain the guidelines and how they will be implemented and enforced.  Please send the email to yourself and print it out so that the format will be appropriate. Your email should adhere to the guidelines you are proposing.

Additional Instructions:  In order to have a better sense of audience for this assignment, you will need to find an article (or articles) that describe a problem that a specific company has had because of email.  You will then write the memo and the email as if you work for that company.  You should also have some research which will persuasively demonstrate the repercussions of not having a policy (perhaps through examples of other companies) and/or research that demonstrates how a company was protected through email policy.  Please be sure to document all research in MLA format.

Descartes Mind and Body - Custom Essay

Mind easier known than the body?
In the Second Meditation Descartes affirms that the mind is more readily known than the body. What might he mean by this?

Cogito Ergo Sum
Descartes arrives at the proposition, "I think, therefore I exist." What is his criteria form making this claim? What form does the statement take? Is it analytic, meaning that the subject and the predicate mean the same thing, such as 1+1=2. And what is the significance of such an assertion?

Clear and Distinct Ideas
One of Descartes criteria for a true and certain statement is that it be clear and distinct, that is it cannot be doubted on pain of contradiction, such as in the truths of mathematics. Indeed, the notion of that which is clear and distinct is what assures him that he indeed exists. Why might one take this as a valid criteria?
